GLEMP’s participating laboratories offer their existing and potential clients, represented by GLEMP’s members, valuable insight concerning their capabilities regarding quality analytical performance. GLEMP member representatives can recognize the consistent, highly accurate analytical capabilities of their contract (or prospective) laboratories, and differentiate them from laboratories that only minimally meet ongoing accreditation requirements. The experience of some industrial companies indicates that the accreditation status of a laboratory alone is insufficient to generate the confidence and assurance required for the risks associated with their rigorous project requirements.
